These lovely guineas were in a metal filing cabinet drawer in front of a gas fire :( Mum-Flurry as she has been nicknamed as she is very skatty has had a spot wash and brush up as she was a bit dirty.
Off to collect the other 13 guineas today to get them to a larger local rescue as we don't have much space here!

Babys both look like boars and are 3 days old. Flurry is around 4 years old :'( bit old to be a mum but she is doing a great job.
Sorry the pics are blurry but won't use a flash just far too scary for them.

they're both beautiful pics! i never used flas with xavier or he'd glare at me! and well the boys i dare not to! i doubt they'd ever come out to look at me ever again!

hope mum and babies are ok

:smitten:

wow she is a stunning girlie :o :o i love her coat :smitten:

awwww i love her! if only i had space, and a house full of sows not boars, id be sooooooooo tempted.

awww bless them :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: they're sooo gorgeous! poor little things, it's so sad :'( :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: well done you! O0

I was told she had littered before as there are 3-4 girls there (need to get out and check each pig today to be sure), and 9-10 boys The two lists of animals he gave me at different times are slightly different and did not take them all out to check yesterday as they went loopy as soon as the door was opened. Off to get them soon and take them to the sanctuary.

These babies have already been offered a home by someone on our waiting list when they are old enough to go to pastures new O0

Bless you Helen no worries it sounded hectic. I was a bit like that yesterday too! Hmm and today lol 3 re-homed, a homecheck, 14 picked up, 2 brought in and usual animal chores 98) going for sunday roast at my Mums in a bit I think i deserve it LOL :smitten:my Mum even now I am 31 she knows when I need a feed a chat and a relax O0
Now got 3 due to pop within 10days ish, 2 going to a new home tomorrow- when will the insane amount of guineas needing rescue spaces end? Big hugs to you and Sokel you are doing a fab job!

i dont get why people do this...

it isnt as though there is a lack of information about guinea pigs, so why do people insist on getting them and then mistreating them and things? yes i know there can be a mix up with sexes and then babies but its not hard to tell the difference come on!

it just upsets me because i wish i could do more and love more than the 2 i've already got.

its nice that there are people willing to help... :)

Flurry and Doon were in with a boar as the gentlman thought they were too old to get pregnant :-\ He had been keeping guinea pigs a long time but definately used some very old methods of husbandry

They are adorable and I am glad you got them :smitten: :smitten:

Thank goodness you saved them love :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
What little cuties :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Lovely lovely pigs, Mum has got a skirt on! Glad they're safe and no longer in a metal filing cabinet :(

Hope Doon is doing well too and maybe they'll be pleased to see each other once the babies have grown up!

Glad the babies have already got a home waiting - excellent! At least they have a brighter future ahead of them now. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Flurry is gorgeous and the babies cute, glad she is safe now. :smitten:

These guys already have a home lined up so we try not to name them as we would get too attatched ::)
