Fly guard

Hi all, just a quick question, this is my first year of owning Guinea pigs and wondered if the fly guard is needed to prevent flies laying eggs in cages, I clean them daily. Is the insecticide spray the same type of stuff? I have fly spray at home but don’t want to be spraying too much and have the piggies inhaling it and causing issues, thanks in advance

No it’s not and we wouldn’t recommend spraying any sprays. A clean cage and checking their bottoms regularly is the best preventative.

Thank you that’s great at least I know not to waste money on something that isn’t required, they are cleaned daily and bums wiped too, they don’t like it very much but sorry piggies has to be done
