Food Bowl... Rustic style

Hi, i was just browsing on the 'hay expert's' website and noticed a bowl made from wood! more specifically, a section of a tree trunk with the middle hollowed out (not sure if i can post a link to the picture).

I think they look really good & sturdy, Something to chew on as well (the piggie, not me!). Does anyone use one already? Do you think it would make the food smell funny?

I just saw them and they look cool. Not sure if they'd get a bit icky from the food though? When my food dish (well the pigs food dish) empties it always has a load of "crumbs" and hairs in it, not sure whether you could wash a wooden bowl well? I dunno though, I like the look of them!
