Hello everyone! Hope you're all well !

Just a quick question, I have read that cilantro is good for guinea pigs, however I am not sure about the amount to give them does anyone have any tips?

Thanks

I think like all herbs you just need to give a small handful once a week maybe. They love it but it's very high in calcium's so okay for babies but not so good for adult piglets.

At 5 months your piggies are adolescent so still growing. Personally I would make the same allowances as babies. Piggies are adult at around 10-12 months. This is when their growth will begin to slow. It's all very contradictory seeing as they can make their own babies at a month old !

A good guide is to watch their urine. My piggies are also 5 months old but are starting to produce sludge when i give things like spinach and other high calcium foods which they never did at 2-3 months old. This tells me its now become too much calcium for them so I cut it down to roughly once a week or less instead of every 2-3 days like I used to do.
