Hi everyone! I know bubbahs should get extra calcium in the first 6-ish months of their life - but how much?

I'm adopting a little Swiss pig to go with my two peruvian girls this weekend, and whilst I'm really excited I want to make sure that I have everything sorted in my head :)

She will be separated from them for a couple of weeks so whilst she's in quarantine she can be fed in her cage, but for any specific baby foods that she needs extra once she moves in with my two I will get her out and let her eat during floortime :)

I know Alfalfa hay is good - how much should I feed per day? (This is on top of meadow/timothy hay)
What fresh foods are good to give her as extras? My girls get romaine/cos lettuce, cucumber, carrot, baby sweetcorn and fine green beans every day, with broccoli, bell peppers, kale, spinach and parsley or basil given maybe once or twice a week depending on what it is. Are these all ok for babies? I also give baby toms but will hold off these til shes older because of the pips :) For example, would it be ok to give her a little kale or parsley every day, or is the alfalfa enough?

Any advice would be much appreciated :) thank you

no experience of mini pigs so bumping for you!

Sounds like you're covering the grounds with calcium in your veggies! To be honest that all sounds great. When mine were babies I fed them what you're going to give yours, and alternated what they got daily (well, a couple of things. They always had their lettuce etc). But to be honest I reckon you've got it covered.

Mine got herbs every few days as a treat, switching between fresh coriander and parsley.

That's great :) thank you for helping me out! The poor little thing, when I went to pick her up she seemed paralysed with fear, and even when I put her in her cage she just sat there looking terrified! Haven't seen her eat or drink but she's doing nice healthy poops, I've opened up her house just to check she's ok, but I can hear her moving about, which I didn't hear at all yesterday! Looking forward to getting to know her once she feels a little more settled, heh :)
