Hi.... I have been feeding my guinea pigs wild harvest advanced nutrition guinea pig food for about a year now. My piggies don't have problems with it but I recently read reviews that said there was pork fat and fish oil in there which is not good for pigs. I checked the ingredients on the bags I bought and this is true. Should I switch food? Just wondering bc my pigs love the corn in here and didn't really like the plain pellets we fed them once. Thanks!

Hi, if an ingredient is bad for your Guinea Pig then I suggest that you do change their pellets. The pellets I use and I recommend 'burgess excel mint guinea pig' and my pigs love them! They are really affordable and good quality. Hope this helps.

Thanks! Just wasn't sure bc they aren't having problems with the current pellets. I will definitely switch their diet.

Welcome to the forum

The wild harvest food is a muesli and not a plain pellet. To that end, and as it contains lots of things which aren’t suitable - peanuts for example, it’s alfalfa based which is high in calcium, plus it contains lots of dried fruits which are too high in sugar - i would move them onto a plain grass or hay based pellet.
