I have just noticed that one of my boys had quite a red patch on his back foot pad. When looking at his other feet, I noticed that the front pad looked a little strange also? I have previously thought that he had spurs on his feet but haven't noticed anything else to date. I am going away this weekend and my animals will be looked after by a pet sitter - bad timing!- is this anything to worry about...my first thought was possible bumblefoot? (and do I need to try and get a vet appointment before tomorrow morning?!). I currently line the cage with paper with Aubiose bedding on top; this usually gets covered in hay - they are quite untidy piggies! Many thanks.
(first photo red rear foot, second photo is front foot).

The front pad looks like it has the beginning of a harmless spur, which ar very common and only need addressing of they get in the way. The back food looks a bit dry to me. A gentle foot cream should address the issue (Gorgeous Guineas foot cream is good).

That's great @Wiebke ...in a panic I have made a vet appointment as they had a free space this afternoon - hopefully it is just dry skin as you say, but as I'm leaving them with someone else this weekend I thought I had better get it checked!:)

I agree with Wiebke, looks like start of a spur. Completley harmless and to be honest most of our pigs have had/got one.

Gorgeous Guineas foot balm is great
