That looks like a bit of dried soft poo to me that is coating the nail and upmost toe from. Soak the food in some hand warm water (if necessary make Noel stand in a very shallow bit of water for a few minutes, and then gently try to work it off.

Could you please keep all posts on the same issue to one thread. Unlike other social media, we have the option to monitor ongoing topics (you can set any notifications in "Watch thread" above the thread start on the right), so there is no need to always start afresh. ;)

Sorry about that i wasn't sure as one of the pinned topics said to make your own post on such things.
I thought it was a bit of poo as well to start with but when i tried to remove it Noel let out a big wheek scream it clearly hurt him :( :( :( but i will try giving it a soak and seeing if i can get it off that way. Sorry again for posting wrong my bad.:roll::blink:

The trick is soaking, if necessary more than once, to work it all off if has really badly caked in.

PS: It was not meant as a critique, but just as advice we give to new members that come from social media and are used to making a lot of posts on the same related subjects. Keeping things together makes it easier on our experienced members that go through the threads in their free time, so everything is kept nicely together for referring back and refreshing the memory to allow us to tailor any advice to the specific situation, especially when we jump from one thread to another. It also minimises the problem of duplicating/repeating advice or options that have already been ruled out.
It also makes it a lot easier to put a thread on watch, so anybody with interest or personal experience can be kept alerted on new posts and developments. ;)

Thank you and i am sorry (it's my middle name lol) but one foot bath on order for Noel this evening :) :) :) x x x

As I can see all four toes in one of the pictures, I think it is a spur. If you have tried soaking as Wiebke suggested and it is still there, It can be removed with small nail scissors. Don't cut right up to the foot pad.

Thank you yeah it's definitely not poo and is attached to his foot, (Noel enjoyed his foot spa tho )which what me think it was a spur but on seeing the other thread about foot spurs looks very different (hence the separate thread) I will give it a go clipping it off later, thanks again :) :) :)
