Hi! I have been playing with my guinea pis with my friends. They where lying with each other when one leaped up and ran away suddenly my friend then found this cut on her but it doesn’t look recent. 8BBED3A2-C0C4-416D-AE0D-B117BAC09F07.webp5335C6B7-CD64-46F5-AFB0-DB3D0C32E9B2.webp a couple of days ago I heard then squealing at each other in the cage so it could be from there. Recently she has been squealing when I try and pick her up but today she hasn’t been acting that strangely maybe just a bit quieter than normal. Should I be worried?

H! Please have your guinea pig vet checked. It could be a burst cyst.
Fighting bites from sows are RARE; full-on bites generally look like two sets of needle pricks where the two pairs of incisors have penetrated. The overwhelming majority of these kind of injuries are self-inflicted because of pain or discomfort.

Keep an eye on the area in the coming days or weeks in a case it is caused by mange mites, ringworm (fungal skin infection) or it is getting infected/abscessed (swelling that requires draining and an antibiotic).
Here is information on skin parasites and fungal skin infections: New piggy problems: URI - ringworm - skin parasites

I would agree that a visit to the vet wouldn’t go amiss.
Just to be on the safe side and for reassurance

we decided just to keep an eye on it but after coming home tonight and finding the cut open we will be taking her to the vets tomorrow. thanks for all the advice
