Junior Guinea Pig
Hi
Feeling like a bad piggy mum and worrying now!
This morning, I topped up the girls hay quickly on my way out the door with a couple of handfuls but didn’t properly sift through it as I was leaving for work
Get home to notice a lump in the hay- inspect it and see it is FUR. Definitely not from any of my girls, it’s grey, rock solid and I’m guessing it’s come in the hay-mum suggested a small animal has been caught in the hay machines
I’ve thrown out the rest of the bag and opened new ones, and as it was stoll in the cage they haven’t eaten the whole thing! I just don’t know if they would have nibbled at the edges whilst exposed to it today- I’m worried sick they will get ill from it, or sone sort of disease
They all seem ok and are eating etc at the moment but !
Anyone had a similar experience? Are they likely to be ok?
