I was wondering about this too. We had given Marshmallow a bit of grass when we first got her and then were told that it's not a good idea since there are cats and other animals that live nearby us and there could be urine on the grass? Or there could be parasites from other animals? Is this really a big concern if the grass looks clean?

Mine have grass nearly every day, I collect it in a colinder and wash it really well, then leave it to dry a bit, or use paper towels to dry it if I'm going to work. It's a faff but we have cats on garden too so like to give it a good wash.

I would think if the grass is washed well then there is no problem. As I have four cats, I would worry about feeding my pigs grass as they do transmit parasites. Birds and other wildlife can transmit this too and you may not be able to see them (such as tapeworm eggs and threadworm).
