A month or so ago my himalayan piggie sweep had a case of Cheilitis on his nose, and the vet prescribed Fucidin ointment. It cleared up nicely, but I think he possibly has it again. Only this time on his mouth. My dad said just put some Fucidin on his mouth but surely that wouldn't be safe incase he gets some in there? I just rung the vets and got no answer so will try again soon. Got a cute pic of him earlier with his poor scabs on display.

Anything else it could be by the way?

I agree you should check with your vet first as it maybe harmful if swollowed. Your vet may suggest an oral antibiotic instead and will most likely want to see sweep to make a correct diagnosis.
if your piggy is fed a lot of fruits such as apples it is possible these have caused sores.

Funnily, the 'scab' type area seems to have dissappeared completely when I checked just now during cuddle time. Will check again in the morning and see what I think from there.
