Fudge has had a cyst on her side for around 6 months +, have always left it well alone. After seeing a non piggy savvy and non helpful vet at a different practice when i was working away, and after he squeezed the cyst, it had a head and i knew it would pop soon..

Its taken around 2 weeks but came home today to this:

It had dried over but since it had now burst, i took the dry stuff away and decided to rid it of all the junk!

After getting a few hardish balls out, there was a huge mass that wouldnt budge and took a lot of wiggling and squeezing but managed to get it out in a clean sweep- seems to be the capsule.

Gave it a good clean and irrigation with dilute hibiscrub and it looks fairly clean and neat now- despite the crater hole!

No smells and little to no bleeding, so hopefully we wont have any further complications!

That looks nice & healthy to be able to start healing well. Gruesome contents (but aren't they always?)

Least it looks clean, I hope it heals well. How is Fudge, Adelle?

Sounds like she is doing well!
Keep going fudge!

Her breathing it still rapid, shes finished a 7 week course of antibiotics with no change so its unlikely to be an infection.. Still no fluid in there and her chest seems
Clear enough.. So its a bit of a mystey!
They suggested trying her on vetmedin incase its her heart struggling more now, but we have tried this twice before and it made fudge very ill- so i've decided not to try it again.

She is still bright, eating and maintaining her weight so thats what we are focusing on x
