Hi all,

Had my piggies for a week and I think 2 of them may have a fungal infection. One has a rougher patch of skin on the back of her ear and I assume it's itchy as it looks a bit sore, and another has a small patch on her belly with less hair and some white crusty patches.

Bless them, ringing vets in the morning!

Did you by any chance get them from a pet shop? Sadly this is not uncommon. :/ However, if caught early it is fairly easy to treat. :)

Sorry all, not been online.

Tried antifungal cream without any signs of getting better, in fact they all have more patches now so I went back to the vets and got imaverol shampoo, tonight was our first bath attempt! They all created but I got them soaked with the solution and used a spare toothbrush (new of course) to brush the solution onto the patches gently. I have to bath them every 3 days for 2 weeks and see how we get on, fingers crossed!

They are snuggled up under a towel, drying, in their spare cage in the warmest room in the house, complaining amongst themselves, hopefully they'll feel some relief from any itchiness straight away.

Sorry I'm not much help with the fungal issues but that mental picture of grumpy piggies muttering away to themselves is so cute lol
