So Leela has had a little bit of fungal nose stripe for over a year now... she saw the vet last year, who diagnosed it, kind of shrugged and said, "It happens sometimes," and gave me some sort of antifungal cream which I used without much effect. Over the summer it became much less noticeable to the point that I thought it was just resolving on its own. Now that it's winter it's more noticeable again like it was last winter. It's not any different than when she saw the vet last year, it's not spreading, she doesn't scratch at it... it's just a thin patch on the front of her nose that looks more obvious in the winter. Has anyone else noticed this seasonal pattern? I'm wondering if it's because the air is dry (we have a humidifier and stuff, but my skin gets dry in the Canadian winter too in spite of all that.) Is this worth another vet visit, or is fungal nose stripe just one of those things?
