I thought I'd create a thread for my tribe, to introduce and post updates & photos - mainly the guineas but I'll introduce the rest of the tribe too.
I'll start with a quick introduction of myself, I'm Xanthe. I've owned animals since a child, when all my friends 'grew out' of animals, I never did lol! I currently have leukemia so times are tough and I'm in and out of hospital alot but I wouldn't have gotten this far without my little tribe being there when I come home.
I have a passion for animal health and nutrition, so raise all my animals as naturally as possible - making sure they all get fresh, organic diets and plenty of living space and enrichment to live the best lives possible
Moving on to the animals...
I'll start with the guinea pigs,
These are my two boars, Benji & Forest. Adopted off someone who couldn't keep them anymore. They are very confident boys! Benji is definitely the dominant one in the pair, whereas Forest is more submissive. I believe they are around 18 months old and have lived together their whole lives.
(Benji - white, cream & brown. Forest - black, white & ginger)

The herd: Isidor the lucky boar who gets to live with his four ladies, Birdie, Florabel, Oakleigh & Fenisha.
These were all rescues from a local guinea pig rescue. After we finished building our avairy/walk-in-run we wanted to take in some more guinea pigs so started looking into rescue centres. I came across the three abyssinian type sows needing a home, but also fell in love with a neutered boar and sow pair. I contacted the rescue and asked whether it'd be possible to bond them all as a group so I could adopt them all!
The rescue was amazing bonded them all for me and after application form and home check was done we brought our little herd home.
(Photos: Isidor - tri-coloured, Birdie - grey & white, Florabel - white, Oakley - ginger & white, Fenisha - brown)

The rest of the tribe...
Quincy the Border collie, my bestest boy & herder of everything lol.
The bunnies, Craig (brown and white dutch) & his partner Kylie (mini lop).
Effie (white lionhead) & Disney (dutch x netherland dwarf).
