My fourth (and hopefully last) goodbye in less than three weeks!

Gareth Rhonwellt 'Gentle Timothy' (the first name a reflection of his personality and the latter a nod to his rescue name Tiny Tim and to the forum member who rescued his badly inbred mother and aunt from a horrible place) has sadly completed his slow and gentle journey to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday.
When Alan and Beryn died so unexpectedly last week, it was already becoming increasingly clear that Gareth was gradually losing his own protracted battle against organ failure despite my best round the clock care efforts.

He was well named - a very gentle, unassuming little boar who I adopted from @pig in the city at BARC in 2017 with the understanding that he may not live to an old age; but much to my delight, Gareth has been able to celebrate his 4th Gotcha Day in July.
After failed bondings with Hyfryd and her daughter Hirael and then Beryn, Gareth was thankfully accepted by Big Iola and Hafren, my formidable Two Fat Ladies. Soon afterwards, another strong-minded new arrival, Teggy from TEAS/Little Pips' Rehoming, did join the trio.

(Teggy, Gareth, Big Iola and Hafren during Teggy's bonding)

Gareth and Teggy split off eventually and ended up looking after squabbling baby sisters Meleri and Miaren after Beryn was totally scared by their lively antics. In 2019, Miaren found newly neutered Llelo and having her own cage much more to her liking and moved out by her own choice, which calmed down the remaining trio massively.

Gareth had rather unusual colouring (golden agouti and dark lilac) and long hair - although the latter not for long; Teggy preferred him with a short haircut and did all his hair care herself!

He always remained on the small and skinny side but always joined in with gusto in his ladies' begging antics. In later years, Gareth provided the gentle counterbalance to his two leading ladies Teggy and Meleri and did a lot towards smoothing the waves.
He is much missed by his two wives and me.

I have laid Gareth to rest with a bouquet of sweet, nectar-rich small garden flowers - sedum, musk mallow, a last bell flower, everlasting sweet peas, peppermint and a small buddleia bloom.
