Gertie and Johnny's first bath

Today we decided to give Gertie her first bath and it went surprisingly well. We used Gorgeous guineas shampoo and she seemed to love it. As it was going so well we thought we would attempt Johnny too and for once he was easy to catch. It looks like he may have been bathed before (Sue?) as he seemed to know what to expect. Here are some pics, there are more of Gert as once Johnny joined the party we needed 2 pairs of hands. Also clipped their nails for the first time too

We felt so mean we had to give them something. They are both all content now in once of their little beds.

Thanks Joanne. Gertie has also perfected the 'help me' look, she did the exact same thing at the rescue when she met Johnny for the first time

Wet piggies are just so cute! Bath times here are always an adventure. Half of our piggies are chilled and enjoy it and for the others it is like a scene from a carry on film with me muttering unlady like words while trying desperately to hang on to a wiggly, slippy pig determined to escape.

Am glad there were 2 of us doing it. I think Johnny seemed to enjoy it more than Gertie. That look Gert is doing in the first pic is a classic Gertie face.
