Getting Rid Of Ants

The ants have started coming into the house, we usually use these ant stations to get rid of them

However since the pigs are indoors, I'm wondering if we put the station out will the ants be able to get into the cage after they ate the bait and poison the guinea pigs?

It's funny because I only just thought now that the ant traps may be a problem! Of course I heard corn flour can be put down or vinegar w/water but I don't know how effective that would be.

We have had a bad ant problem in our dining room over the last few years because it was an extension & we have laminate flooring. Before we never saw one but they started coming up through the floor You can use cornflour etc but if they are coming in from outside it's best to tackle them outside by using a spray around the door frames. I have used Nippon drops next to where they were coming in indoors but I made sure I moved the piggies well away first, it then takes a few days before it kills all the ants.
