Hi all. I have tried to google this but came up with nothing
I have just started using Ziggys Piggies fleece cage liners for my piggy boys. When I wash them I can get the odour out with no problem but they are still quite stained. I put them in a horse wash bag to wash them at 40 degs having given them a good hoover first.I change the fleece every 4 days and have 3 which I rotate. They are light blue with white stars which may be my problem!
Does anyone have any tips to get the wee staining out?

I know coca cola can get greese and oil stains out and then you wash again. Probably best to try that on something less important first though.

I find the stains don't always come out first wash (red pepper the worst) with non bio powder or liquid. If I add stain remover then I am adding the chemicals that can irritate their skin so I put up with the stains, they often come out the next time the fleeces are washed. The sun will often take stains out on sunny days, hang the stained side on the line facing the sun, if it's a particularly stubborn stain redamping it a few times throughout the day helps. I spray some water on the stain with one of those spray bottles meant for plants.

i use napisan powder to remove stains.it is a non bio stain remover and antibacterial product.you will find it in the baby ilse,in wilkos its the cheapest ive found .it is used on babies nappies etc,you put one scoup in with your powder or liquid washing detergent.ive not had any piggies react to it.
🙂
