The girls have been apart over a week as I suspected that fifi had mites. But she has been given the all clear so now they are back together and crapping - fifi being very agressive and chasing lola around the cage. All they have is a tunnel.

Would some igloos sort this issue out or at least give them some space whilst they get back on a even keel?

personally i wouldn't use igloo's but an upside down box or 2 with at least 2 holes in each might work.

I would bath them together to help them to bond and so they smell the same. They may smell different to each other now and like they are not from the same herd.

Yeah i was gonna say give them a buddy bath and then put some talc on them too once there dry- it makes them smell similar and smell beautiful for you :D

some hideys may help them settle down if they have a place to be away from each other. The second I did this my two girls decided that they wanted to always snuggled up together rolleyes

I gave them a bath last night and though it isnt as bad as last night there seems to be some amniosity still. I'm going to go and get some hideys for them today and play bits and hope they totally settle.

Its just as fifi (the agressor_ goes near lola she lets out frightend wheeks - shes trying to sleep but I can see how on edge she is. How long do I give it before enough is enough. I love my girls and hate that this is happening to them.

My two litter sisters, Holly and Jingles were like this. I left them until they were 5 months before it really became obvious they just were not going to get on.

Holly was the aggressor. She ran at Jingles continually despite living happily alongside her mum, so I separated Jingles out of the threesome, and then re-introduced Jingles with her mum and Holly with her dad (neutered :)) ) and all have got along famously since.

I still notice that Holly will run at the bars to try and bully Jingles when they are out on the grass (she doesn't do it to any other piggies), so they will never be a happy couple, but it's worked out in the end for us.

Sometimes they just don't get on but I did try everything and poor Jingles was left out in the cold all the time :(

Sorry I can't help on the length of time to leave them. I always use boxes with 2 or 3 exits. One tube doesn't sound enough because both will want to in it. Do try extra hideys and tunnels :)

Jo x
