I have lost 2 of my beloved piggies within hours of each other.

Last night we had a storm and when I went out to the shed to say goodnight to the piggies Agatha was going mad. She was rushing around crashing into the walls and running over all her friends. I put her indoors with her best friend Waffle and she seemed to settle - I left them happily munching brocoli.
When I got up this morning, Agatha was dead. She still had food in her mouth so I think it was a heart attack - poor Waffle was snuggled up to her.

I then went out to feed the others and return Waffle to the group and poor Gladys was dead in her cage. My vet had warned me that Gladys and her friend Daphne may not live long lives as they were so emmaciated when I rescued them in November that he suspected their internal organs had probably been damaged. She seemed so well though this is such a shock.

At least they've had a few weeks of sunshine and grass but i was expecting them to have few years not weeks :(

So sorry to hear this. At least they had some happier times before it happened, but it's such a shame it wasn't for longer. Maybe atmospheric conditions, as well as the noise, have more impact on animals than we fully realise...

Oh Teresa, you know how sorry I am. Agatha was with me for a few months with her babies and I was so glad you offered her a home, and she was looking fantastic after putting back on some condition and her coat had all grown back.

And as for Gladys - I'll never forget the pictures and seeing her when they first came in, I didn't think she would survived the night when you showed me her. She came such a long way and must have thought she was in heaven already!

It's a sad day indeed, sending you hugs

Huge hugs and a large pint of wine to you honey, you did a wonderful job with Gladys and she was lucky to have met you and Agatha knew a very spoilt life also. It is hard when they pass away but a big virtual hugs on its way x

I am very sorry Teresa, this is so sad. They were both beautiful girls.

Rest well, dear Gladys and Agatha. xx

So sorry to hear your tragic news. At least they will be at Rainbow Bridge together . They got to experience love and security with you and you should be comforted in knowing that you gave them a loving home.

So sorry to hear that. At least the later part of their lives were spent with you loving them.

So sorry for your loss. Nothing much can make you feel better in times like this, but my thoughts are with you. x

I am so very sorry for your loss, what a dreadful shock. Thank you for giving these two girls a taste of what real piggy life should be all about, lots of TLC, sweet meadow hay, scrummy food, piggy friends and a human slave to wait on them hand and foot.

Sleep well little ones.

So sorry that you lost two lovely ladies at once. At least both of them could enjoy the good life - if not for as long as you would have wished.

RIP Gladys and Agatha - I hope that crossing the rainbow bridge together made it easier for you!
