Adult Guinea Pig
I have lost 2 of my beloved piggies within hours of each other.
Last night we had a storm and when I went out to the shed to say goodnight to the piggies Agatha was going mad. She was rushing around crashing into the walls and running over all her friends. I put her indoors with her best friend Waffle and she seemed to settle - I left them happily munching brocoli.
When I got up this morning, Agatha was dead. She still had food in her mouth so I think it was a heart attack - poor Waffle was snuggled up to her.
I then went out to feed the others and return Waffle to the group and poor Gladys was dead in her cage. My vet had warned me that Gladys and her friend Daphne may not live long lives as they were so emmaciated when I rescued them in November that he suspected their internal organs had probably been damaged. She seemed so well though this is such a shock.
At least they've had a few weeks of sunshine and grass but i was expecting them to have few years not weeks
