Have you tried this food? My mum bought me a bag for my boys. We tried it yesterday and they seem to like it ok.

Only thing is, I don't like the smell of it! :D

We bought a 15kilo bag of this one that cost us £14.00. Our piggies didn't like it so I give the rest away to our friend
who looked after our piggies when we were away in the Canary Islands in May. Yet Moira's guinea pig loves it.

None of my piggies are that keen on mixes of any kind. They prefer the pellets (esp. Science Selective).

isn't that a type of gerty guineapig?

It is similar. Like many guinea pig mixes Gloria guinea pig is packed full of artificial colourings, guaranteed to give your guinea pig lots of health problems in years to come. Much better off sticking to pellets 8)

I personally get very suspicious about guinea pig mixes. When Gerty first arrived on the scene a few years ago it seemed really good, lots of grassy stuff in it, and not a lot of brightly coloured stuff. Since then it's been *New and Improved* many times, and each time it has had more and more brightly coloured / weirdly shaped bits put into it.

I now steer clear of all these mixes. I mean .... there is even a 'Fruity' rabbit mix on the market, that smells so artificial my rabbits would keel over if they just smelt it, never mind ate any of it.
