What do you all use as a gnaw block as RSPCA say you should provide one?

You can but little wooden chews from shops, but mine tend to turn their noses up and chew the wood of the hutch from around their door rolleyes
However, fruit branches are quite good -- e.g. a branch from an apple tree. Mine had a good time burying it in the sawdust and chewing the twigs.

there are plenty of wooden toys around which are not too expensive. you could also use cardboard boxes as hidey holes as they like to chew those too or kitchen roll middles ! mine love willow baskets which you can get filled with treats or empty to fill with hay. only problem is george can eat a whole basket within a week :))

I bought a willow hay rack for Brillo last Monday as I thought it looked cute. Unfortunately by Thursday there was nothing left of it!

Mine typically don't have chew toys - hay does the job of dental wear far more effectively than any chew toys or gnaw blocks. Having said that, mine all loved the small willow balls, loved throwing and rolling them around and they did destroy them fairly quickly! There's certainly no requirement for anything other than plenty of hay to promote dental wear.
