My piggie seems to be gnawing quite a lot at the moment on his cage. His cage is wooden and he likes gnawing on the edges. I'm not sure if this is normal and not too long ago he went for an ordinary check-up, and the vet said his teeth were fine, so I don't think they're overgrown. Can you buy 'gnawing sticks' or special toys or something to try and stop this?

Guinea pigs need hay and gnawing toys to keep their teeth down as they grow constantly. You can buy gnawing toys/blocks from pretty much any pet store. Provide your piggie with plenty of hay, chew toys and maybe a few wooden houses to chew on and hopefully he should stop destroying his home! :))

Thanks!

Thanks, I give him lots of hay daily, so I shall look into gnawing toys! :)
