I'm very nervous but decided to bond my lone boar with my bonded 2 today.. I've got those c&c grids which I can make up to a 5x2 and I've had a large roll of vet bed delivered today :)
They won't smell will they if I clean them out everyday ? I can't get any of that correx tried everywhere so It'll be just newspaper, vetbed and hay..

Have you tried Travis Perkins, apparently they do it there? This is a post copied from the Housing board:

I use correx for mine and got it from Travis Perkins. They call it cordek. An 8 foot x 4 foot sheet is about £5. Phone your nearest one first as not all of them stock it, mainly the larger ones

I would really place a firm non-porous base under the other bedding as the wee may soak through and drip on to the floor or worse still one of your piggies feet may find it's way though it and get hurt. As a temp measure do you have an old bit of lino you could lay underneath?

I tried my local one but they didn't have any and they contacted the larger shop and they didnt either. My nearest that had some was 1 hour 30 minutes away..
I don't have any lino but I could go and buy a cheap piece for now..

Other places you could try could be under 'Signwriters' in the Yellow Pages, they may charge a tenner or so for delivery though - alternatively I think there are a few sellers on eBay :)

hows it going Karen? have they taken to each other

I tried them and it seemed like they were going to fight :'( Myself and hubby just felt it wasn't going to work.
To be honest it seemed like it was Zac that wanted to fight :'( I only left them for about 3 minutes and seperated them..

There was chasing, chattering and Zac and George went to bite each other...

Oh well Zac has got a much larger home to that's one good thing.. I'm tempted to try him with a very young boar but then I think if that doesn't work I won't have enough room to house two single piggies..

couldnt you take him along to rescues? then he can pick his own friend? atleast theres more chance of it working :)

OH i really feel for you, it is horrid when this happens, what about a sow that has been done, i know they are hard to get hold of but that could be an idea

That would be wonderful if I coud find a spayed piggie but I doubt that I'd ever manage to get one.. I think I'll get Zac neutered soon..
