After my amazing gorgeous boyfriend :(|) has allowed me to get 2 babies to pair with Stevie and comanche (the piggies that fell out) and after everything that has gone on lately... I'm going to view the babies tonight!
I'm so excited!
Spoke to the lady again last night, who has told me which she thinks are best, and I'm going to see them. Dont know if i can take them there and then, but she is happy with my set-up, and through our conversations.
One in particular who is a grey (i love grey) long haired, is really laid back and loves to be handled. I think thats the one for Comanche! ^) but obv the boys will make the decision! x

What a lovely thing to look forward to especially after all your distress lately with Naz.... hope all goes well and the new additions to your family settle in soon!

good luck

oooh i bet this is really cheering you up after having a poorly Naz.. how exciting to be having some new additions to the piggy family.. good luck and I hope the boys get on with thier new friends:)):)p

one thing i dont know, and was hoping someone could help me with is... ive looked up how to bond, and I'm confident with that, but when do i let them live together? If bonding goes well, do you keep them together? or seperate them and do it over a few days? x

Thats good news for you! cant wait to see the pictures of the boys. How is Naz? Did you go back to the vets today? x

So pleased for him and you! You can spend some more time together. Good luck with the little fella later. xx

If the bonding is successful, you keep them together, or they would have to start all over again! But keep a close eye on them, as they little ones are on "foreign territory" and that might provoke some initial dominance behaviour.

Good luck, and have fun!

If you introduce them and it's going well I wouldn't split them again, as they tend to start from square one again the next time they're together...

Stick them in a run with some grass, supervised, and see what happens.... there will be chasing and humping and probably chattering but as long as it doesn't escalate you really need to leave them to sort it out. Don't put any hidey things in, as they can get territorial over houses etc, and be ready armed with a dustpan and brush to separate them if needed - when they're all het up they've very likely to bite you, even if they wouldn't dream of it normally!

Good luck

well.. i have a new addition! a beautiful long haired silver agouti (i think thats right. I'm no good with colours and breeds lol) decided to get 1 now, and then if for some reason comanche didnt bond (cos he is the one out of the 2 i thought i may have problems with) I could put this one in with Stevie.
There was the usual boar behaviour what i expected..(i put them in the run like suggested) humping, comanche weed on him, a bit of rumbling and a lot of poking, but no fights.. They have the 2 storey, so if needed the baby can go upstairs for some quiet (which he has done) cos comanche cant use the ramp. :(|)
My favourite names at the mo are Finlay, Travis, Bailey or zac.
Ive seen the other one i will be getting, and think its going to be phoenix, not sure. Will wait and see what suits after a few days.
Keep watching, but all seems good! x

So glad they got on with each other! And it must be such a nice mood booster for you after that last dreadful weekend as well!

Would like to see pics before commenting on names... I like Bailey! MrsM has a Finlay.

I got a couple of pics, but just quick ones, so they not too good, but dont want to stress him any further.. just waiting for photobucket to upload! :(|)xx
I feel really happy.. cant remember the last time i did.. even if it just lasts today, its better than nothing! lol x

here are a couple just so you can see how beautiful he is!

I know it looks like I'm choking him..I'm not... honest!

Coronet! that was the word i was looking for :red yeah! his cool hair do is so sweet! And his colours makes him a piggie version of my Lara, my rabbit who had the babies.. xx

Comanche is so impressed he is even trying to climb the ramp! :(|)

i love the little fella already. She told me that if for any reason they didnt bond, to return him no problem.. but fingers crossed cos i couldnt! lol :<>

Yes, Holly Dolly is the sweetie in my avatar with Mildred Mop x) I feel lucky to have her cos I was looking on guinea pig rehome and two little piggy sisters appealed to me, one was blind and I fell in love with them, but when I contacted the rescue they had been rehomed, but the lady said we do have a lone sow who has never lived with other piggies and she e-mailed me a picture of Holly x)
It was love at first sight and I said I would love her and went to get her from the rescue the following week and came back with Poppy and Peggy too who happened to look at me with their lovely eyes through their hutch and I couldn't leave them behind :)

awww.. thats so sweet! she was meant for you xx
I'm thinking my neighbours probably hate me about now.. all 5 boys are being VERY vocal! arghhhh... Comanche and little fella (his nickname at mo lol) are still chasing each other chattering and wheeking, and thats making stevie, neo and ash join in! xx

Oh wow, a silver agouti and white coronet...one of my favourite colours and my favourite breed. Absolutely gorgeous! I like all the names you suggested, I'm leaning towards Zac at the moment though.

Last night went well, id wanted to bring them in cos of the amount of noise they were making, but literally fell asleep at the laptop.. woke up with a start ran out to check on them, and they were cuddled up in the fleece!
Comanche looks sooo happy already.. he has even let the lil fella (no name yet lol) in his pigloo with him..
I thought i may have a problem with Comanche, as in the rehoming thread it said he was dominant, i didnt see this until after i got him, and he has fell out with stevie, but so far so good... x
Going to try and get some more pigtures ..

New piggie

Oh Tori, he's lovely.. but looks so tiny next Comache! I'm glad the bonding seems to be going well, and if he's been allowed into the pigloo.. can't be all bad!

Keep us informed how it goes and I'm already looking forward to more pigtures.
xx
