I have been using towels and fleece for my guinea pigs and the towels and fleece are fine for my sows which use the litter trays but the boars don't.

I am finding the towels need replacing everyday now as the drink/wee so much and there is a smell forming. They also take so long to dry .

Could anyone recommend something else I could use under the fleece that is effective, smells less and easy to wash please:))

hiya i have cage liners on my c&c cage which are made from fleece on top and then a matteress topper sewn under neath my sister in law makes them she has a thread on here called step by step instructions to makinf liners have a look but my liners last a week and even then they dont smell they are very very absorbant xx also there only £13.00 for a double and that does 2 2x4 cages and there washable so can use over and over agin they last for ages xx

They sound great, my mum has a sewing machine so I may ask her to run a few up for me:))

The cage is a corner one though, so I presume a triangle shape would b just as easy:)

yes just measure it all up did * have a look at me pics and also the link that tells * step by step instructions xx like i said they are brilliant dont smell or get wet even after a week x

As yet another guinea pig owner I can highly recommend this product too. Having made a fleece bed for the guinea pigs' cage, these absorbent pads were just what I had been looking for. I had been using towels under the fleece bed originally, but they soon got soiled. The product is very good value for money, the bed pads are easy to assemble as they haven't got wings like a lot of other products and they also give a nice cushioning effect. They wash up brilliantly and I was so impressed I had to order another two for changeover days. The company supply them super fast as well. Our guinea pigs are in seventh heaven :)
