CharlottiesPiggies

are there any things i can try to get my guinea pigs comfortable like exercises? might spend a few hours fiddling about with them, especially Rosie.

My son had a pair that weren't used to being handled and he used to sit them on his lap fpr 10 mins at a time at first and built up to 20 mins. They became really tame and he used to have them out free range on the lawn (when he was there to watvh them :) )

I have two sows from the RSPCA who were born there. They were so skittish as they had hardly been handled (cant blame the RSPCA-they have so many animals to care for).

Anyway one of the was ill and had to be nursed for a week (syringe feeding, meds etc), she became so tame over that week. Although she has reverted a little as she went back in with the herd.

So i think lots of handling, little bits at a time. Oh and a cucumber bribe always works! O0

Mr Twinks is unruly at the moment, he hates being handled (think Spike from the Gremlins and that describes him to a T) His original name is Twinkle, but he doesn't suit it as Twinkles are cute and lovely, he is one big menace! (Adore him though!) So we are trying 10 mins a day to bond and he goes in the run where he tries to escape from and throws his igloo at Sunshine who then teeth chatters!

Ah I love boys, so much fun they are! ;D

poor Twinkle your mummy is being so mean about you ;) ;)

I have always had boys and I love them, they have sooo much attitude :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
