Thanks to all of you who helped me out a few weeks ago when we got Scully and Rascal and Scully was covered in scabs that turned out to be a fungal infection. The vet made it sound like the end of the world! They are both now clear! Horay! After nearly 3 weeks of putting surolan on, and cage cleaning every day, fingers crossed its gone! Just waiting for the hair to grow on their bald patches, can't wait to see Scully with hair on her nose. Thanks to the forum for your advice and support. X

So pleased they are better. My old vet was the same about my little one when he got fungal recently. He made it sound deadly serious and obviously it can be if not treated, but scared me so much! My boy is all better now and his fur has grown back. It didn't take long so hopefully your little ones will be all furry and fluffy again soon!

Aww thanks, glad your piggies are all better. I told my vet I had a wooden hutch and she said The only way to get rid of the spaws is to burn it! Ive disinfected it daily so hoping it doesnt return!
