Goodbye Coco

On thursday, september 9th 2021, my skinny pig Coco passed. It was all really sudden. I came to check up on my guinea pigs and give them some cucumbers and then I found her laying in her bed. She had no pulse. Coco lived to be almost a year, since I got her early February. She was the sweetest little baby and I miss her so much. My two other girls have been pretty quiet since she left. To this day I don't understand what happened and why. She had no known injuries or illnesses, and she had a recent vet checkup before passing. Does anyone know any reason this could've happened?
 
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Don't be too hard on yourself. Piggies are very good at hiding illnesses.
She must have had an amazing life full of veggies and cuddles, and would have known how much you loved her.

I’m so sorry :( Sadly guinea pigs can suffer from strokes or heart attacks at any age and they hide illness so well but only a vet would be able to tell you how she passed by performing a post mortem which can be expensive and upsetting. Think of all the good times you had and remember the amazing life she had with you. Sleep tight Coco xx
 
So sorry you’ve lost Coco, it’s such a shock when this happens out of the blue like that. Many of us have experienced this and all I can say is that Cocoa probably had something very sudden happen like a heart attack or stroke. Sending hugs at this sad time x
