Goodnight my beautiful Cora 😢💔

My beautiful little Cora passed away suddenly and unexpectedly today
She had been eating well and playing with Pete, then moments later she lay down, twitched a bit and then went to sleep - that was it She wasn’t even 5 years old yet, my heart is broken
She was the sweetest, friendliest little pig I’ve ever met. She loved her food and treats but loved hiding in mounds of hay even more. She was awesome I miss her so much already, but I’m sure Pete will miss her even more
I love her so much, and I’m so sad that she isn’t with us anymore
For such a small creature, she has left a huge hole in my heart
See you at the rainbow bridge Cora, I’m sorry

Thank you everyone. I can’t lie, this one hurts a little extra. Cora’s loss was very quick and unexpected. Her mate, Pete, has always been quite nervous of people and other pigs, and was adopted as a single pig who hadn’t been able to happily live with other pigs previously. Cora’s original mate Clarice passed of lymphoma, so I had Pete neutered and put him with Cora. They were great together. She was the sweetest thing, and we are both missing her terribly this evening my heart hurts for Pete who is nearly 5 himself, and now without a friend again
