In my Guinea Pig's shed mainly! LOL
So I've read on this forum that apparently Guinea Pig's can die if they have to much of the same vegetables?
And that carrots and broccoli aren't very good for them?

Also, I am totally confused on proportions. I give my 3 girls some cabbage, a few carrots, bits of broccoli and celery a day. They eat it all, and don't have diarrhea.
How much should I be giving them?
Should I vary their foods?

Well they won't die if they have too much of the same vegetables so don't worry about that. I think as long as you give a good variety of veg then you are doing the right thing.

Agree with Bellasmummy - small and variable is my motto. My piggies eat almost all veggies but I have limited kale, parsley and some others since Harley had a stone last month.
Carrots, celery, fruit treats are given 1-2 week but cucumber is on their menu daily along with mixed salad stuff, peppers etc. Think we can get a bit paranoid about what is good for them but all piggies are different so I stick to what they enjoy but in smaller quantities :)
I really wouldn't stress too much hun :)

Mine have some form of cabbage (sweetheart, spring greens or savoy), celery, cucumber and a slice of pepper daily. If I can, some fresh herbs, too.

Carrot and lettuce (both are very high in vitamin A), broccoli or cauli leaves, apple, tomato, green beans, sweetcorn, melon/melon rind, banana/banana rind, grapes - about two veg from this list each day in a way that they have a bit every 2-3 days; the combination varies with the season.

I stay off spinach and kale for most of the time because it is high in calcium and I have a piggy with chronic cystitis.

If you vary and give everything in moderation, you should not have to worry.

I have lately become concerned about veg too, so have made a 'guinea pig weekly meal plan' that spreads the range of veg they can have around a lot, and should mean they get less carrots and celery and some of the more OTT veg, and more of the 'just quite good for them' veg.

I will find it and post it (still haven't committed it to memory yet!)

I give my girls leaves of romaine lettuce every night, and occasionally other random treats like orange and apple.

...have made a 'guinea pig weekly meal plan' that spreads the range of veg they can have around a lot...

I also have a weekly meal plan, though due to funding lately...it's kind of been not followed very well. But, here's my 'menu' that I have altered and altered and altered beyond altering after quite a bit of research from GPC and GL.

The little dots and x's stand for...they can have one of the dots that week, not all three. Or one of the x's but not both. It's my little code for remembering healthy habits. Like, they can have celery this week, but not cucumber. But, next week they can have cucumber but not celery or the other. If that makes sense...

Edit: I should also add that I have to avoid a lot of sugars, as I was told that Sundae has this thing in her eye which makes her more prone to diabetes later on in life.
