Got my very first piggy bite today - ouch!

Those teeth hurt!

The boys were out in their run, all happily munching and running around and suddenly Smudge started chattering like mad at the other two (he was separate from J and Spike). He was showing all the signs of being annoyed, and so I used a towel to pick him up. Even though he bit me through the towel and didn't break the skin, it still chuffing hurt - still hurts to touch now and is a little swollen. He's certainly got a good strong jaw!

He's was ok when I managed to get hold of him - we had a nice long cuddle and shared some melon :)
 
Ouchy! Piggy bites are not nice! Their teeth are like little pincers!

I have a scar on my thumb where one of my ex's boars bit me! Was totally my fault, was holding him whilst feeding him some cucumber, I was talking to my ex and her family and all of a sudden *BITE* and my thumb had a lovely, bloody slice! 8... :))
 
My Theos a biter- although he's never actually bit me. He consatntly warns me thouGh by touching his teeth to my skin. When he was a baby I was a little scared of him. Then I realised he has really sensitive skin and also he doesn't like being proded with. He likes just gentle stroked while he cuddles in. He *** warn me when I'm doing his nails etc but I just go as quick as I can and give him a towel to chomp at ha ha!
Apart from breaking up fighting piggies and human fault I've never heard of a piggie actually being aggressively biting.
 
Ouch! I've only ever been once and that was when I was attempting to cut Blossom's nails for the first time and I must have held her in the wrong way as she was a really placid piggie.
 
All the bites I've had from piggies involved getting inbetween disagreements. It's not their fault - they've just gone into dispute mode and instinctively bite at anything that comes near. Glad you used a towel - the last bite I got I stupidly tried to pick up Marmaduke when he was having a ding dong with Guiness and that really hurt.

My piggies have never drawn blood so ouch! I think Hammy bites are worse, they dont let go! xx

I've never once been bitten my a hamster - I used to have a female syrian and not once did she ever attempt it, and I had my friend's one to stay and again she never bit me either. Think I've just been very lucky there though. :)

Especially the dwarf hammies! I had one that bit me on my thumb and was attached for a good 30 seconds with blood covering her... Needless to say I wasn't the one bathing her after she did that!

I've been bitten a few times by piggies, though fortunately never a full-on one... they do hurt! :(
