While in St. Louis this week I went to pet stores to see what they had in there, particularly houses and cages as Salvatore is growing now and will outgrow the dog carrier soon, maybe before I can build something.
I walked into one that sold small animals, and right by the guinea pig enclosure the clerk was stocking bags of hay and pellets. One little guinea pig was following her every move, getting really excited when she picked up a bag of hay. He was so cute tottering back and forth trying to keep up with her. She had no clue, which made it even cuter.
Two other guinea pigs were eating hay, and both of them decided they liked the same stalk of hay, so they were taking it from each other back and forth. They didn't go anywhere with it, one would just take it from the other and then the other would take it back.
I'm so glad I discovered guinea pigs. I need the smiles.
