Is there any particular shampoo that is good on smelly grease glands on a boar.

I use swarfega and works well. I tried the first time with just piggie shampoo but it did nothing and they were still greecy after the bath :(!

Yes, I agree with tips above.
It is best to remove it regularly so it can cause soreness of the skin under the greasy areas.

ive found something that works even better than swarfega or anything and you dont even have to get your pig wet!

you know thoese antibacterial gels you see at hospitals you can buy them from supermarkets etc and they are amazing! all you ned to do is get a toothbrush and sqirt a tiny bit onto it and just brush the grease sopt in a circular motion and I'm not kiiding when I say the grease litrally falls off. Ive been using one cirtisy of the hospital but Ive been told you can buy alovera(sp?) ones from supermarkets.

i have those already for myself Kirstycc but surely that would sting like hell on a piggies grease gland??

great Gorgeous Guineas article! thanks

Trim the hair around the grease gland, that reduces the problem.
