l have been cleaning cages, and l knoticed thet my vet beds are starting
to shrink ,
l bought a roll of the stuff a few years ago (not sure how many ?) but l have
knoticed they are getting smaller (only by a half inch or so )
l am sure the vetbed is garenteed if washed up to 60deg they would not to shrink
anyone have this trouble ?

I was warned I think on this forum that vetbed shrinks so I left an extra 4cms all round when I cut it but now wish I'd left a lot more as it is still shrinking after months of being washed every week. I have both green back and non slip, both shrink. Prefer the green back as the non slip smells rubbery, thought after loads of washes and drying outside in the fresh air the smell would have gone by now. My vetbed did not come with any guarantee but this may be because I bought off cuts on ebay.

l think in the next few weeks l will be getting some more of ebay , there is no way l could afford to buy in bulk

I have bronte glen vet bed, its grey with a green back. Sadly mines shrunk too, but i cut it then washed it- silly me! Mines shrunk a little too much but i do wash them at 90, and every 3 days. Mines have lasted 6 months but wouldve lasted longer if i had washed them before cutting. I got a new set last week, washed them twice then cut, then washed again (as the edges come away after cutting but fine after washing again). Iv made them bigger this time to accomodate for any shrinking.

bronte glen is what mine is !
wow you wash at 90!
l use a sanertising tablet to pre wash ,kills all nasties

Vericon sanertozing tablets , then wash at 40

Yeah i like to know theyre washed well without the need for distinfectant etc, never heard of that one before. I use bio, i know i should use non bio but they dont eat the vetbed and its the only way they actually come out of the machine not smelling like gps!

it is used by a lot of dog, cat breaders , kennals , as it is non toxic , and it is vet aproved ,
