Green hay?

I bought some hay from the garden centre recently, they had run out of the one I normally get, so I bought something called Western Timothy Hay which was actually green ?/

I tried it with the piggies, and they ate it but didn't seem as enthusiastic as usual. Is this stuff actually OK for guinea pigs? Or should I stick to the normal meadow hay that they usually get.

I give Lincoln Timothy hay as more of a treat than proper hay as he loves it. but I'm pretty sure its good for guineas just so expensive. I dont kno much thou sorry

Timothy hay is excellent for piggies - unfortunately piggies are often just confused when something new arrives but all of mine here love it, they just have a handful twice a week alonng with lots of other different hays like oat hay, brome hay, alfafa hay, orchard hay, meadow hay, mountain hay - any hay is good for piggies and it's good to offer them a variety.

Mine get timothy hay in their racks and meadow as their bedding and love both!
