Typical, things go quiet, you relax a bit and have a bit of peace (not long enough!), then these troublesome ones have to start causing trouble! Yes, you Jess you blooming gorgeous pain in my bum!

Bit of a crusty nipple (only has the one!) so now worrying! Not noticed anything until cleaned her cage and she was out for free range a little while ago. She’s weighed every other day, always has a good checkover with her issues and being an oldie but realised skin around the nipple feeling a little crusty.
She had a mammary gland cyst a few years ago which brilliant Simon from Cat & Rabbit removed so only has the one, can’t compare! But had always had huge nipples for such a teeny girl!
I’ve given it a clean (with cooled, boiled water) and a little dry skin has come off from around it so I’ll do the same for a few days and see how it looks but got a feeling a vet trip next week :doh:She obviously took a long time to recover from the eye op and was laying around a lot more than usual (still does compared to her crazy boyfriend) so hoping that’s something to do with it but grr!
Trying to stay positive but come on Jess, stop worrying me you lovely little one-eyed beast!

Sending you hugs. These piggies do keep us on our toes. I hope it's nothing to worry about and is just a bit of dry skin from lying around in one place. My previous offer holds if you think she needs a piece of vet bed to lie on, it keeps them lovely and dry. X

Thanks a lot @PigglePuggle and @piggieminder xx
I have noticed (well stressing about now!) that her seasons aren’t as often as they used to be, hard to tell with her really as has the odd strong one but quite quiet compared to years ago, she’ll be 7 in Feb though so had put it down to her age really. So not the usual lots of strong ones etc you’d see with ovarian cysts. Think she just realised her mummy’s had too much free time after her chin bro left us really so wants to be top priority! I would’ve taken a pic but a bit pointless as they’re all so different, just not quite right for her after nearly 7years with me!
Thanks so much @piggieminder, such a lovely offer but feel blooming terrible pinching your lovely vetbed! I should probably order some when I get paid tues! She’s got extra fleece and bedding under houses that I’ll change daily again so hopefully will help for now! 🤞xx

No need to feel terrible. I bought far more than I need and I'm not using it now Spike's gone. No doubt I will need some in the future when someone else get's sick or old and arthritic but I won't need it all.

I would just keep a watching brief and leave well alone unless she shows any signs of a problem. These little creatures cause us such worry at times.

Great, thanks so much @VickiA, you’ve put my mind at ease a bit with your knowledge of sows! The thought of scans or surgery terrifies me after her eye out and her not too great recovery, and her age obviously! She’s such a special girl that’s been through so much, no more please! Will keep an eye on her and see what happens, if her behaviour changes or nipple gets worse I’ll be straight to vets obviously, but both of us sick of them dammit! x
Thanks @Ritika x

Definitely worth keeping an eye on and be ready to go to the vet but remember Jezzy floof's "saggy boob chafing" episode that sent me into a panic about ovarian cysts and cancer but it was just her saggy old nipples dragging on the floor and needing a bit of gorgeous guineas cream :)
Given Jess's age @VickiA 's advice to just watch and wait and check she's clean and dry underneath sounds like a very good idea! x

Thanks @PigglePuggle, yes I kind of had your gorgeous girly in the back of my mind when hoping it was nothing! But these piggles do like to scare you! GG’s order (along with foot cream!) will be here next week and hopefully help! She’s not bothered in the slightest, giving me a right ol’ face lick earlier while I was trying to have a look and a feel so if she doesn’t care that’s good for me for now! Will try not to worry too much! x
Thanks @artcasper x
