Hi my guinea pig doesn’t seem to have balls he’s about 2 years and 5 months and he’s the grumpy boss pig, he cake from a reptile food warehouse

Is this why he’s super grumpy with the others?
is there a reason why he has no balls?
Is it bad, should I be worried?
or is it just what it is

Testicle size varies from piggy to piggy. Obviously neutered boars won’t have any testicles.
If you are concerned, please have him seen by a vet

When you say ‘others’ - who are the other piggies he lives with? If you are trying to keep more than two boars together, then that can explain any dominance or bond issues - boars do best in pairs and keeping more than two boars together most often fails.

Have you had him from very young or has he had previous owners? Boars should be kept in pairs only, if there are more than that housed together it’s not ideal and fall-out usually happen, perhaps that’s why he gets grumpy? 😄

There are three boys that he lives , he’s been with more in the past but been together for nearly 2 years and I have no issue with his behaviour as he’s just a grump I just wondered if it had added to it and if it’s bad that he’s got no ball or small balls

Three boars together usually doesnt work. It depends what you mean by grumpy - what behaviour are you seeing? If he is unhappy then that may be showing as aggressive behaviour caused by keeping three boars. How big is their cage?
He isn’t grumpy - he is expressing normal behaviour
Testicle size has no bearing on behaviour.

Right they have a living room as their cage and ok that’s fine so should I worry about the testical size

As I said, testicle size varies - some can barely be seen, others are rather large, but only a vet can tell you if he has a problem in that area though

If you cant feel them under the skin I would have him checked over by a vet, undescended testicles have a habit of turning cancerous if not removed, my cat Willow had to have one removed from his abdomen 9 years ago.

Is there any chance he may have been neutered by a previous owner?
