Hello!

We've 2 females pigs and have noticed really odd behavior on and off the last few months!

Wolverine will follow Rogue really closely, so her nose is touching Rogues butt, she'll be making a grumbling/rumbling sound and just follows Rogue around like that for a while, maybe with a mini popcorn now and then (maybe trying to jump on Rogues back?)! We can't tell if Rogue is bothered by it or trying to get a way from her, as she'll continue to dart around. She's a pretty independent and fearless X-Pig that likes to go adventuring by herself!

They don't seem to fight, might hear a shuffle and squeak when they are in their cage, but nothing serious, sound more like "you're blocking the exit to get to the food" kind of thing.

Any advice on what this behavior means?

Thanks!

Bee

Hi :)
How old are your piggies?
It sounds like dominance behaviour and is totally normal. Once they figure out who "boss pig" is things will settle down again :)

Hello!

I guess they must be between 10 month to 1 year now.

Ahh okey! It's just a bit amusing to watch as Rogue is so indifferent to it!

Thanks,

Bee

Love the names of your "X-pigs" ;)

Yeah like the others said it's probably a dominance/place in the herd thing. To find who is the boss.
