So, I was sitting next to my guinea pigs’ cage with my sister, and then she pointed out that one of them were nibbling on a plastic bag. I rushed over removed the plastic bags that was near the cage, and tried to see if it was still in her mouth, but I was too late.

I would get that pig to the vet ASAP but in the mean time just watch for any thing off. It could just pass through fine but it could also get stuck somewhere

Guinea pigs are terrible for nibbling things they shouldn't. Keep a close eye on them for any changes over the coming days and if you notice any changes then go to a vet promptly. Most of the time it will pass through fine. Mine over the years have been able to access the plastic wrapped hay, the rubber bit off a dustpan, bit of a houseplant, and some correx

As above piggies think everything is fair game. Lol. check poops are normal and any change in piggie mean vet trip asap.

How much? Mine have nibbled a bag, correct, the dustpan, the brush bristles... anything that doesn’t move (or in the case of the dustpan and brush it didn’t matter, I had to shake them off the brush, lol) anquick nibble I wouldn’t worry about. A big chunk of bag would worry me more.

She didn’t eat much

she will be fine if she didnt eat that much. Mine used to eat all sorts.
Just keep a lose eye on her for any changes, ie loss of appetite or reduction in amount of poops. It will more than likely just pass through normally.

A lot of guinea pigs are prone to eating plastic bags too close to the cage (especially if there is hay inside!) A small amount should pass right through. Just keep an eye on the poop for the next day or so to make sure the piggie is pooping normally. If it's any consolation, one of my pigs once ate a large chunk of the hay bag when my kids left it too close to the bars, and she was just fine.

In winter when mine can’t go outside during clean outs, they have a lovely habit of climbing in the bag of dirty bedding for a rootle about and a nibble. They like a go on the bag, the dustpan and anything of interest! Summertimes are spent keeping them away from “trying” all manner of garden plants. Luckily, they have escaped unscathed. Try not to panic unless you see any changes in health then, obviously, a vet trip is in order. They really are little monkeys!

Oh yes and I forgot about the time they were in the kitchen while I was cleaning their room. I came in to find they’d emptied the contents of a shopping bag, torn open the plastic bags containing any veg and were happily munching on a whole cucumber, pepper, celery and sweetcorn! Very resourceful and determined creatures! Here’s a few snaps of the carnage...
