Hi

I have just bought a book called "why does my rabbit...?", which basically tells you all about the behaviour of rabbits and why it does certain things. I was wondering if there was a similar book on guinea pigs...or something that isn't just about caring for and picking your guinea pig.

Thanks

I agree Peter Gurney books are fab - I particularly like piggy potions.

Quite a useful read is the guineapiglopedia (if you ignore the bits about breeding)

I'm pretty sure Peter Gurney wasn't a vet, but he sure knew a lot more about guinea pigs than the majority of vets did. He and Vedra of the Cambridge Cavy Trust have been instrumental in educating(?) vets in the different methods of treating piggys ailments, rather than putting them to sleep.
His books are brilliant to read, both humorous and sad. He writes in a similar style to Deric Longden, who is a must read author for any cat lover.
Go and explore http://www.petergurney.com where I think you will be entertained and educated :)
