Guinea Pig Ill

Hello my name is katie my guinea pig as been very ill it happened about a fews ago he was fine but I'm droped he was in my hands it wants faw from the floor and well he was walking fine and ran to me and hide within my legs i got my mum to pick him up and he was fine into the next day he couldnt use one of his legs and he was pulling his self around but then next few days he started to lose his other leg and then he was pulling his self i have booked the vets but this week he as just about got feeling back in his legs he trys to walk on the but cant but now he is losing fur really badly he has losted about the size of my plam and his hair feels kind of like sticky aswelll can anyone tell me what this is but aswell but guinea pig is very old

Hi, please can you also confirm your location so we can help you better.

He needs the vet as soon as possible for an xray and some pain relief. I am not sure what the stickyness would be unless he is leaking urine or has been sat in his wee because he can't move that well. My other though would be that he has a wound which is bleeding.

The hairloss may be related or could be linked to a skin condition which can occur is he is run down such as mange mites or fungal. It can also be linked to vitamin deficiency or old age.

How long ago did this happen, I can't work it out from your post?
