While In The Midst Of Climbing Out Of His Cage Into The Playpen My Guinea Pig Carmelo Began Popcorning Nd Hit His Leg On The Cage, He Began To Limp After That. Of Coarse At First He Would Flinch a Bit when i Tried To Touch It But Now He Lets Me Touch/rub That Leg.

I'm Not Sure At All Any Actions I Can Take. I Did Apply Ice Nd Some Swelling Went down But No Improvements. Hes Limping But Acting Like His Normal Self, Any Suggestions On what To Do Now ? Is It Broken ?

The only way you can now for sure is if you go to your local vets, and have a vet check him over, he may even decide to prescribe some sort of pain killer depending on his injury, if in doubt check it out! It’s the only way you can know for sure, as guinea pigs are prey animals and will try their best not to show pain, as in the wild this is a weakness that predators would stop and then most likely attack him.

Good luck, hope Carmelo is okay :)

I've moved your thread into our health and illness section where it will receive more views. I've also removed the first thread that you posted in our care reference section as it was the same as this one and our reference section is moderated and all posts need to checked by an admin/mod before anyone can view them.

Sorry to hear this. I would advise a quick trip to the vet to get him checked over. It's possible that there is still some swelling in the leg which could be relieved by a short dose of antiinflammatories. The vet may wish to prescribe some Metacam for a few days which acts both as an antiinflammatory and a painkiller.

It's difficult to know whether it's broken, but the fact that he is putting some weight on it is positive. Nevertheless, it's important to get him checked over.
