In two months, I'll be moving to Missouri (I currently live in Arizona) It is a 20 hour drive there. I have a brother and lots of stuff we'll be bringing. Including our two guinea pigs. I got really worried because of course there will be stops on the way, but is a 20 hour drive too much for the guinea pigs? It would break my heart so much to have to leave Maple and Peanut.

NO LEAVING PEANUT BEHIND! *looks at own piggy named Peanut* Nonono! Or Maple... :agr:
Okay anyways, :btt: I don't think it would be too much. It might be stressful for them. Just make sure they have plenty of supplies and everything they need. :)

Hi! It can be done if you have regular stops. Instead of water, use a cucumber to keep them hydrated and refresh their soft (!) hay, which makes around 80% of their daily food intake. Keep in mind that while hay is a great insulator on cold days, but it can overheat piggies in hot weather. Do not leave them unsupervised in a closed car for any length of time, even if they have to come with you in their carrier into a highway station.

Make sure that you have got extra hay, a water bottle and food with you in case you have a breakdown or other major delay. A blanket for a cool night may also be of advantage.
