Hi.
My guinea pig has been pawing at his mouth recently. He comes and takes good but then drops it and starts pawing at his mouth as if something is caught in it.

He is one of my chunkier pigs but has lost just a little weight due to not eating much.
I recently lost another pig and thought we was maybe just grieving but then I noticed the pawing.
I looked at his teeth, they look fine but have a slight slant.
I didn't feel any abscess or lumps.

Has this happened to anyone before?

Thank you

It definitely seems like he needs to be checked out by a vet, my grandmother looked after many dental piggies and the things you describe do indicate some sort of dental issues/distress.

Good luck at the vets x
