Hi All
I have recently adopted 2 baby girl guinea pigs, I have done lots of research about diet - pellets and hay in particular. However I live in Greece and I can't seem to find any of the products that get the best recommendations - Oxbow and Timothy Hay for instance.
The best pellets I could find are VadiGran New Generation complete guinea pig pellets - does anybody know much about these?
Any other advice or any one else in Greece that has found anything better would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Tracey

Hi

As long as the piggies are getting plenty of hay and a good selection of fresh veg as well as a good supply of pellets I'm sure that brand will be fine. Does it have added vitamin C in it?

Welcome to the forum btw :)

Hi Tracey and your two little girlies welcome to the forum :)
I did a google search (i'm from Australia) as i didn't know this product, well at first of course it came up in greek (sorry can't read the language).......... it seems to originate from Belgium ?
If you have a look in our food section up the top you'll see some recommended products......... see if what's in your vadigran is similar to the ones that are sold in the UK and elsewhere. I too have a problem getting good foods for piggies it's very frustrating!
Have fun with your girls and i hope you'll put up some pigtures of them, we have a stories section...

Glynis, Velvet and Onyx x

thanks both for your reply. it really is frustrating here, can't find anything that's recommended or anything with added vit c or alfalfa for the babies. so i'm giving plenty of fresh veggies including parsley for calcium, red and green peppers for vit c and lots of fresh hay every day. Just want to do the best I can here really.
They now have names, given by my daughter..... Barbie and Xionati (greek for snow white) :-)
Thanks again for encouraging replies.
