They've done it again.

I hadn't bought anything for the pigs for a day at least then I went to Costco - looking for extra grids I must admit.

Anyway a trot around the store twice and there are no grids! I have had to order some off Ebay as I am running out for my corrall - this seller seems to be the cheapest (and they are the same grids I got in Costco last year).

Then on the way out I spotted these "Extra Large" bird feeders: @)

Which are about £30 online before P+P and they were £10.56 inc vat as there was an offer on.

Well how could I turn that down - it will make a lovely mobile hayrack for the corrall won't it. You just unscrew the bottom and you can get the mesh in the middle out - but I may leave that in to push the hay to the outside a bit more.

Who can resist a bargain! Especially when it is for the piggies... ;)

Super duper! Your piggies are in for a treat. Let us know how it goes... I might get one for my herd...

Oooohhh if it's still on offer when I next go I may just get one aswell great idea:(|)

OOh has yours opened to the public now?

That's a good plan BTW - let us know if it works for the pigs. It looks great

I had my eye on one of these bird feeders online ages ago but even I couldn't justify £30 for a mobile hayrack.

Before the start of Operation Furball I wasn't that interested in shopping. But when you are thinking of how it will benefit them it is hard to resist (thinking of the catit cabrio carriers that were last weeks must have to carry them in the luxury they will soon become accustomed to - and that one is thanks to another member of this forum!)

Now I must make them their little fleece travel blankets when I have finished my piggy bedspreads.

Those piggy girls are princesses already! x) And don't you mention those cozies Pollie!
:(|)

I am so looking forward to getting the girls - I have really missed having pets terribly for years - my last was Twinkie the deranged and possibly pyschotic tortie and white cat who loved being close to me but would attack like Kato in the Pink Panther movies without warning. The number of times I woke up with her wrapped around my head and daren't get up to go to the toilet because when disturbed she would sink her claws into my scalp and turn into a hissing spitting maniac!

I just hope none of the girls is like her! She was lovely though - she had kittens (got spayed aftewards - it was an accident unfortuantely) and made me hold her paw while she was giving birth aww! She went back to her normal nutty self once they were weaned but she was the best mum in the world until then.

We have a card that lets us go anytime as it's associated to our friends trade card.

You can get an individuals card but it cost's which you can use in the afternoons.

Oooh! Which seller did you get your carrier from online? I know there was quite a few on ebay, but I was worried about a few of the cheapest's feedback rating.

I've been keeping an eye on those for a while, and after a sneaky rat decided to chew half of our old cat carrier door, I can finally justify buying one to the other half. :)
