hi guys I’ve had my guinea pigs for 8 months now with no porblems , both boars and bonded since 8 weeks. I think the more dominant boar might be going through his hormonal stage but he’s humping my other one a lot and my other one is crying, he’s chasing him and won’t let him do anything. Help?:(

You could try keeping them apart for a day, and see how they react. If the less dominant piggy seems happier, then the bond isn't working for him any more, but if they are looking for each other, the bond is still intact. Have a read at this thread. It should help. Bonds In Trouble

I kept them apart for the night, Phyliss had to go to the vets over his eye, he has a ulcer in it, he’s on eye drops and metacam. So I thought for the night he would appreciate his own space anyway. This morning I’ve taken down the guard and let them share a cage again, they have been fine so far. A little tumble strutting and grooming from the more dominant piggy but apart from that they seem fine? No aggression. I think phyliss my poorly piggy is feeling a little under the weather as he is so quiet, but I don’t think it’s really caused by Willis. He has to go to the vets tomorrow to have a teeth trim, as they are growing inwards towards his tongue, and with his eye being sore as well I think these may be the reasons he’s being quiet
